In 2001, musician Jamie Garratt and his brother sold expresstunes.com – a social media website for musicians that they had built while still in university. From there, he joined the digital media marketing firm Blast Radius. In 2008, he left and founded Idea Rebel.

Jamie is from Toronto and moved to West Vancouver with his parents when he was 16. He studied commerce at Capilano University but switched to computer science at the University of British Columbia at the height of the dot-com boom.

Idea Rebel is a comprehensive digital agency, developing for web, mobile and social media. Electronic Arts, BMW, Fox, 7-Eleven, Virgin, CTV and BellMedia are among its clients.
